Natural child portraits with artistic insight

When photographing children Heather's key aim is to produce images which capture character. Rather then getting children to sit & smile for the camera, Heather prefers to photgraph them in familiar surroundings whilst at play or doing something they really enjoy. Her approach is very natural & she strives to capture true, honest photos where white backgrounds are not a necessity!

"The best photos are the ones where the child is unaware of the camera as they are so involved in what they are doing". Using skills from her Fine Art degree Heather generates photos where composition, lighting and colour have all been carefully considered.

Mother of 2 young children, and auntie to 10 older ones, Heather is great at interacting with children & her relaxed, easy going nature helps her work well with parents to get the best out of the photo session.
